I’ve been a wedding photographer since 2014 at www.dublinweddingphotography.com. It’s a fantastic job if you love photography and photographing people — the days can be long and full-on busy, but it’s a fantastic privilege to be able see people at their very best.
Aside from wedding photography I also edit and process images for my wife, Jill, who is a commercial photographer. We live on a farm in north County Dublin, between Swords and Ashbourne, where we have our photography studio. We have different approaches to photography, and ever since we met in college we’ve had our own little rivalry — we’ll push each other to be better, and trust each other’s opinion implicitly.
Previously to being a wedding photographer I’ve been: a writer and copywriter; a farm labourer; director/founder of a web development company with 15 employees; Creative Director in an ad agency; UX designer; graphic designer. I had a novel published in the 90s and, now that I have some time, I’ve finished the first draft of my second.
